MR 5.A analysis

Jesus did not plan curruption in the church. Jesus made the church to help redeem those who have sinned and as the house of the Father. Although the church is a holy place there have been corrupted leaders and Popes in the Church. Jesus planned Humans to lead the eartch but he planned for the good humans to lead noto the corrupt.

MR 5.A Analysis on Ascension

Our analysis goes beyond the basic understanding because we go deep into each fact. After describing the basic situation, we look further into what it really means. We break apart everything and make it easier for someone to understand the deeper concepts. It is deep analysis showing how everything is pieced together. This goes way beyond just our opinions and summary.

MR 5.A Analysis on the Ascension

The early Church was a monarchial papacy instituted by Jesus Christ in
Mathew 16:18-19, but he did not institute the corrupt human side of
the early Church. Jesus did not intend for the pope to have absolute,
worldly power, but to the contrary, he intended a leadership based on
his authority. This is very similar to a monarchy, where one
individual has power to guide their subjects. Unlike a monarchy, the
pope does not have absolute power, but rather he is a shepherd,
guiding his flock to the glory and love of God, the same way Jesus led
all of his followers to God. Occasionally, power did get to a pope's
head, turning him corrupt and into a leader with absolute power, not a
guide, which is one of the consequences of having a singular conduit
of power.

In our analysis we analyze the article option. Our analysis is not just an opinon because we take into account the arguments presented within the article and use them to shape our analysis. In our analysis we also are not just restating the facts presented within the article. While we do use the facts within the article we compare and contrast them to the contrary beliefs. Along with the facts and arguments within the article we were able to conjure a complete analysis.

MR 4.F: Analysis on Significance of the Resurrection

Sins were ultimately pardoned from Christ's accomplished work on the Cross on Calvary. We were given two means of forgiveness that the Church describes. First, we have Baptism to cleanse Original Sin in which we are born with from Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Along with Original Sin, we are also cleansed of the actual sins prior to our Baptism. The second means of forgiveness of sins after our Baptism is quite different. We need this process because we cannot be baptized more than once. Therefore, we need a different sacrament to cleanse us after our Baptism. This sacrament is called Reconciliation. There are also other common words used such as penance and confession. When Christ died, he passed his authority of the sacrament to his Apostles. However, there are two conditions about this. First, the Apostles could not forgive every sin unless the sinner actually says each sin to be forgiven. Only Jesus has the power to see each hidden sin. Second, the Apostle's authority was not claim that God indeed had already forgiven their sins. Today, this is the exact same as priests because their authority was received after generations and generations from the Apostles. Today, we show our humility by telling the priest face to face our sins. The sins spoken from the sinners' mouth are the sins that are forgiven.

MR.4 F Proof of resurrection

The argument brought up by @dragonblazer is that any event that there are maytrs in are true, which I disagree with. The nazi's died for a opinion or a belief, which they thought was true, becuase they believed it, there was so proof that backed it up other then them wanting it to be true, they never saw anything that proved it. Meanwhile the apostle died for somethign they saw, it wwas event they saw, not just an idea or belief. Also someone who lied about something and is threatend with there life about that event would say he lied. The nazi's who died did believe that what they thought were true, it was a opinion, meanwhile the apostles died for a fact, the ressurection.

MR 4.E: Resurrection Analysis Evidence for

In Peter Kreeft's account, he gives us the various reasons as to why the Resurrection is not a mystical event. He gives us ample evidence as to why the Resurrection was not made up. Some of these pieces of evidence include that hallucinations do not have that impactful effects on emotion like joy and peace. Also, he writes that the Apostles in fact touched his wounds when they saw him. The fact that Jesus' body is tangible is evidence that Jesus indeed Resurrected.

MR 4.E: Analysis on Resurrection Lord of the Rings

In Gandolf's fight with the Balrog, it is exactly like Jesus's Passion, Death, and Resurrection. In this particular scene, Gandolf relates to Jesus and Balrog relates to Satan. In the video, you witness Gandolf dominate Balrog. This is exactly the same how Jesus descended into Hell and defeated Satan. This is shown in the movie when Gandolf fights and falls into the big pit with Balrog. While falling into the pit, Gandolf defeats Balrog and moments later he is shown with a bright light all around him. This is similar how Jesus defeated Satan, resurrected to Earth, and then ascended into Heaven. In the scene Dead's Fight, countless numbers of dead are waiting to be freed. This is the exact same as to how Jesus descends into Purgatory, and cleanses them before entering into Heaven.

Last Supper

Justin Martyr's Apology

In 150 AD Catholics are being persecuted and killed because people believe that they are canables. Justin writes this letter as a defence of the Catholic faith to the Emperor of Rome in order to stop the killing of Catholics. In the letter he explaines what Catholic's do on Sunday and how they eat the flesh of God in bread and wine and not in acuall human flesh. He also explains why they do this and that it is in order to be in union with God. This is an argument against the fact that Catholics are canables.

MR 4.D: Passion & Death Analysis on Justin Martyr's Apology

Justin Martyr's account of the First Apology is very important. In this account, he describes the various reasons for the Last Supper and why you should believe it. Along with that, he also mentions the washing of the feet and its significance. This relates greatly to what we have been talking about the past few days about the Last Supper and how he must be present to free us from sins. In the Last Supper, Christ establishes himself as the perfect New Lamb of the New Testament because the lamb of the Passover was not perfect enough. Christ realized that the lamb was not perfect, so he had to establish himself as the New Perfect Lamb of the New Testament. With his perfect and inifinite sacrifice, man could be saved and freed from sin. In Justin Martyr's account, he is describing to the emperor what it is they are doing, and how it is in fact saving humanity. Because the emperor was receiving false news about how Catholics worship, Justin had to explain to him what was actually happening. Justin was trying to stop this false persecution of Catholics so the emperor would stop killing them left and right. This account is very significant because it is an early explanation of Catholicism and how Catholics are redeemed/saved.

MR 4.C: Last Supper Reflection

It is truly interesting to see the importance and similarity between the Last Supper account and the words spoken by the priest for the Eucharistic prayer. The priest is repeating what Jesus says. He is describing that by eating and drinking of Jesus, you will be freed of sin. Jesus amazingly offers us his body and blood. The Apostles without knowing it, would be infinitely freed from their sins. This was an infinite offering for human kind.

If I was at the transfiguration

If I was at the at transfigurations I would listen to every thing Jesus said and listened to him since this information is important.

witnessing the transfiguration

If I was one of the apostles witnessing the miracle that was the transfiguration it would futher my faith in the leader I was following that was Jesus Christ.  Witnessing any miracle would help to futher my faith, but witnessing a transfiguration where my leader talked to Moses and Eijah. If I heard that Jesus was going to die I would be afraid.

MR 4.C: Transfiguration-Witnessing the Transfiguration

It says that Peter, James, and John each underwent a sort of change as well. Specifically, it is said they were in several ways transformed. However, their change was different. Instead, they underwent an interior change of emotion and thought. If I were one of them and witnessed the Transfiguration, I would have most likely been overjoyed in all of my senses and interior feelings. Also, it would remind me that Jesus's Crucifixion would surely give all of us everlasting joy and peace. It would remind me that all of us will live a life protecting us and freeing us from sin. This event would boost my love for Jesus even more and make my relationship with Jesus much closer. This event would have been truly magnificent to witness.

MR 4.B Defeating Prince of Darkness

God stands out to me mostly becuase it is one biggest word there, but it also stands out to me becuase God is also one biggest thing in our lives and our world. Jesus is the biggest word becuase he is talked about the most in the passage, but i dont think Jesus is the main idea of the passage. I think the passage is meant to show that you can stay true to God and ignore Satan, and not only show that Jesus can deny the Satan, but that we can too.

MR 4.B Defeating the Prince of Darkness

What stands out to me in this is that God, Jesus, and the devil have the biggest names in the picture. Near it, the word temptation is there, the basis of this section. Also, the words alone and desert are next to each other relating to when Jesus was alone in the desert being tempted three times by Satan. Also, it is unique that the word written is fairly big too. I assume that it is the written word of our Lord that is very important too.

MR 4.B Defeating the Prince of Darkness

In the Bible the words God and Jesus are used more then the word devil showing that God and Jesus are greater then the devil.

MR 4.A Mid Level Activity

Our activity is unique because we describe all the interesting factors of Jesus's baptism. Along with that, we analyze the symbolism seen throughout his Baptism. Our Idea Sketch is unique to the eye because of the organization. It separated into different shapes and different colors. All the colors describe different aspects of Jesus's baptism.

MR 4.A mid level activity

This idea scetch is unique from the others. It is unique because I created it with Matthew. we also used the sections in the chapter to gather information in order to connect the wedding at cana to Christ's crucifixtion. We also learned why Jesus got baptised in the Jordan even hhough he was with out sin. we included facts and reasoning.

MR 4.A Mid Level Activity

Our groups project is unique because no one thinks the same way as us. You should take a look at our sketch because everyones brain is unique and will explain stuff differently. Ours is worth while because we went in depth and explained our project very well. We use examples that make this easier to understand. My group consisted of Joe, Sam, and I.

First video not second

I watched the first video but did not see the second one.

The Video that would not load

I was not able to watch the video last night, I repeatedly got an error saying the video did not load and try again. I tried loading it again, but it made no difference. Next time I will use the information I found out to fix the error and will watch it tonight.

Obedience

I found it very interesting from the video that Jesus did not have to be baptized if he did not want to. He wanted to show us an example of how to get closer to God. He was only being obedient to God's will to set an example.
